LISTEN
TO THE SOUND
SAMPLE!

If your
system is
equipped
with a
sound card
and an
audio player,
you can
listen to a
sample loop
from track
17 or 37
of the CD.

Just wait for the sample to download!

A very short rhythm sample will be repeated
in the Audio Player of your browser,
producing a continuous rhythm.

This works fine with
Internet Explorer,
while Netscape Navigator
adds some silence between
the loops.

This practice CD contains two
rhythms, each consisting of
three djembe parts, a bass
part, a bell part and a signal.

As you can see on the right,
the parts are first played alone,
then in various combinations.

This is what the notation looks like when using the Djembe Font, which can be
downloaded from the Freeware page of this site. You will also find a legend there.

The parts on this practice CD are made from sampled sounds of four djembes,
two bass drums and a bell. They have been arranged with the aid of a computer
in order to attain a clean sound, a fixed tempo and a very distinct stereo image.
